Why Isolate Equipment for EV Technician’s Safety?
Incorporating a Lockout Tagout procedure will ensure that equipment can be isolated and not re-energised until workers have completed their tasks.
Universal Port Lockout Devices can fit over electric isolation ports and sockets on hybrid and electric vehicles. These can then be secured in place with a non-conductive padlock and a lockout tag to ensure that only the technician who isolated the equipment can allow the energy source to be reconnected.
