About this Course

This TÜV Rheinland beginner course has been written in accordance with the latest German / DGUV guidelines. It will help develop the skills and knowledge required to work safely on Electric & Hybrid Vehicles. Delegates will learn about the Personal Protective Equipment, tools and general equipment required as well the associated risks and hazards of working with DC High Voltage systems.

The content of this course enables the candidate to learn:

  • The risks and hazards associated with Electric & Hybrid Vehicles
  • How to identify and understand the common features and differences between vehicle types
  • How to protect against electric shock
  • Working with Electric/Hybrid Vehicles including, testing for High Voltage, depowering/isolating the vehicle, moving and towing, best practices, battery (HV and auxiliary) location on the vehicle and storage.

On completing this course, learners will have acquired significant core knowledge of working safely around, but not maintaining Electric/Hybrid vehicles.
